Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has published notification for Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2016. Application form is invited for the registration of Exam from good academic record having students who are getting education in class Vth at present on or before final date.

Such students who are motivated and confidence can take admission is class VIth. Applicants are advised to go through the official website of this origination and download format of application form with prospectus. Available Courses

Class VI

Reservation of Seats: 

At least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and remaining seats are filled from urban areas of the district.

One third of the total seats are filled up by girls.

There is a provision for reservation of 3% seats for disabled children.

Educational Qualification -

Studying in Class V in any Government or Government-Aided or other recognized school in the same district where he/she is looking for admission in the just previous academic session for which Selection Test is conducted.

Actual admission in Class VI in the session is, however, subject to the condition of having passed Class V before admission.

A candidate in quest of admission must be between the age group of 9 years to 13 years on 1st May of the year of admission for which the Selection Test is conducted.

No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test second time, under any circumstances.

Arithmetic Test	Number and numeric system. Four fundamental operations on whole number. Fractional number and four fundamental operations on them. Factors and multiple including their properties. LCM and HCF of numbers. Decimals and fundamental operations on them. Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa. Applications of number in measure length, mass, capacity, time, money etc Distance, time and speed. Approximation of expressions. Simplification of Numerical Expressions, Percentage and its applications. Profit and loss. Simple interest. Perimeter, area and volume.
Language Test	The main purpose of this test is to assess reading comprehension of the candidates. The test consists of three passages. Each passage is followed by 5 questions. Candidates shall read each passage carefully and answer the questions that follow. In addition, there will be 10 questions to test grammar and writing skills of candidates.

Examination Pattern

A separate Answer sheet will be provided to candidates so that they can indicate their answers at an appropriate place on the answer sheet itself. The Answer sheet will be of intelligence Character Recognition (ICR)/Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Sheet. Only Blue/Black Ball Point Pen is to be used to write on the answer sheet. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited.

Selection Method

Appliers who have desire to take admission will be selected on qualifying marks achieved in entrance examination.

Suitable and eligible applicants should go to the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya that is www.navodaya.nic.in.

Now move to “Admission in JNV” tab which is well structured in menu bar of home page.

Select “Prospectus cum application form” link from the given list.

Now, Hit “Prospectus for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test-2016 for Class VI” link.

Read complete details carefully and download the prescribed format of application form.

Fill it accurately with required necessary information and attach a set of essential educational documents.

Affix one recent colored passport size photograph on top of application form.

You may also get application from the Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the concerned district.

Application completed in all respect should be forward along with all essential documents related to caste, education and age.

Duly filled in application forms must be sent through registered post to the below tuned address.

Application reached after last date will not be accepted by school so send it on or before closing date.

It must be noted that application should signed by the Head of the recognized school/Special Education Scheme (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) where the child is studying in Class-V.
